OVERCLOCKING GAINS
In terms of percent overclock stock our clocks are overclocked by :
~ 19 % Core
~ 15 % Shader
~18 % Memory
Based on the percent overclocks we should see gains close to 15 % with a single card in most benchmarks. SLI is more variable and usually yield less gains thru overclocking. This next graph proves this :

We can see that the benefit of overclocking is reduced in SLI mode. This owes to the increased CPU overhead with two cards as opposed to one. This is especially true for CPU heavy titles such as Half life 2: Lost coast. However, CPU overhead might not be the only reason for this. Some graphics engines are just better optimized for SLI than other titles. Take a look at FEAR, Call of Duty 4 and Call of Juarez ! Very interesting indeed.
SLI SCALING
I just mentioned that some games respond better to SLI than others. Let us put this theory to the test and see how our benchmark titles gain from having an extra card. In an ideal situation, the gain would be 100 %, but that is not always the case due to variables such as hardware Bottleneck, Drivers and Game optimization. Let us see what we have :
